Approaching Data: A Batman-Inspired Perspective
- Detective → I hunt for patterns hidden in the shadows.
- Strategist → I develop strategies that shape decisions.
- Guardian → I uphold insights to empower those I serve.
Data surrounds me. Its complexity can be chaotic, full of noise and hidden signals. That chaos demands discipline. From discipline comes vigilance, and vigilance reveals clarity, and clarity builds trust—trust that guides collaboration, uncovers hidden patterns, and ensures those I serve can act with confidence and understanding.
Amid the complexity, there is beauty: patterns waiting to be discovered and insights waiting to be illuminated. Curiosity draws me into new domains; each domain presents new challenges, each challenge reveals opportunities, and each opportunity produces meaning.
I wrangle the chaos and uncover the beauty—through modeling, optimization, and visualization—to deliver insights that teams can act on with confidence.
Case Files
University Course Timetabling Optimization
A modular Python implementation of my undergraduate honors thesis course timetabling solver, built with OR-Tools CP-SAT. It extends an earlier OpenSolver prototype with enhanced constraints, greater flexibility, and structured I/O. The full thesis is available at OhioLINK ETD.

Predicting Hotel Cancellations
This master’s capstone develops interpretable models to predict hotel booking cancellations using data from two Portuguese hotels, with logistic regression and classification trees (cross-validated) highlighting key predictors for actionable operational insights.

Behind the Scenes
From May 2025 to today, I provide statistical exploration and consulting for one faculty-led and one honors thesis research ornithology projects in the Natural Sciences at Malone University that will be submitted for publication.
In September 2025, I created an NLP model using BERTopic to extract, refine, and validate themes from Liberty University’s environmental scan that will also inform future scans.
In Fall 2024, I served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for business analytics courses at the University of Cincinnati.
From 2021 to 2024, I tutored statistics, mathematics, and computer science at Malone University.
In Summer 2023, I contributed to a Tableau dashboard with IT for Malone’s president’s council.
In the 2022-23 academic year, I built a Tableau dashboard to streamline admissions enrollment reporting at Malone.
In April 2021, I collaborated with MATH 304 (Probability & Statistics II) classmates to analyze and present on the Instagram performance of Ninja Hub Gym (a local business).
Open Investigations
I am open to collaborating on projects (academic, professional, or exploratory) that bring these interests to life, and I always welcome opportunities to explore new problems where computational mathematics can contribute to meaningful impact.
